Thanksgiving Eve parties

Why not get the fun started a little early? A number of places are hosting Thanksgiving Eve shindigs, and you can join the party! Head over to Hoboken for the Thanksgiving Eve 2019 “Biggest Party of the Year” at Madd Hatter. Take a trip over to New York City and enjoy the Highbar NYC Thanksgiving Eve Rooftop Party and cut loose. We’re sure there are loads of opportunities for a good time the night before Turkey Day!

Turkey trots and races

Do you want to burn off a bunch of calories before stuffing yourself with…well, stuffing? Lace up your running shoes and take part in one of the races happening in our area! Try out the 8K in Glen Ridge, where the top prize is $400. Or stay right here in Jersey City for the Jersey City Turkey Day 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run!

Thanksgiving meals

Maybe you don’t feel like cooking the big meal yourself, which is understandable, as we know it’s a lot of work! No matter—plenty of restaurants are open and serving their own Thanksgiving Day meals, like Liberty House Restaurant, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and Sátis Bistro Jersey City, among others.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Of course, if you don’t mind big crowds, you can head into New York City for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, an American tradition! It kicks off on West 77th Street and Central Park West at 9AM. But, as you are likely already aware, you can watch the giant balloons and see which celebrities show up for the big event right from the comfort of your own home on NBC.
