We can’t think of one person who enjoys stopping at the gas station after a long day or night at work to refuel the car, especially in the extremes of winter and summer, when you just want to stay comfortable. But, it’s a fact of life and something we simply have to do from time to time. The fact that it is an errand or a chore might cause some folks to delay filling up the gas tank until the very last moment when you’re afraid you’re running on fumes and your fuel light has been on for a day or two. Why you should refuel as soon as possible
It is estimated that many vehicles on the roads these days can end up driving for about 30 to 45 miles or so once the fuel gauge needle has been stuck on empty. Really though, it all depends on what vehicle you’re driving. Different types of vehicles, such as compact cars, burn fuel more efficiently than others, like pickup trucks or large SUVs. Plus, over the years, vehicles have gotten to be much more efficient with many advances in engineering and technology, so it will depend on how new or old your vehicle is as well.
